CPP Calculator

Media Planning & Buying Calculators

The CPP calculator from SRDS allows you to quickly and easily calculate cost per rating point. Cost Per Rating Point (CPP) is an advertising rate standard used by radio and TV stations. CPP is the cost to reach a certain number of listeners or viewers. It’s used by advertisers because they can compare the effectiveness of their advertising versus the costs involved. In layman’s terms, CPP gives you the cost of reaching 1% of your target demographic.

With CPP, you can effectively strategize your media budget, while also comparing the expenses and effectiveness of various outlets. This tool enables you to plan your budget with precision and maximize the value of your investment by evaluating the costs and results of different channels. By utilizing CPP, you can optimize your media budget and achieve the best possible outcome for your campaigns.

The aggregate total (the sum) of the ratings is called Gross Rating Points or GRPs. The sum of the ratings of a specific demographic segment may be called Target Audience GRPs or more simply TRPs. The term GRPs is generic and may refer to household GRPs or to specific target segment GRPs.
